The Rock Star Tribe Heads to the River

We ended our study on Native Americans with a trip to the river to clean and prepare our buffalo hide. We traveled in the cool brisk air, over mountains (the playground), through grassy plains to find our "river" and dip our buffalo hide. Each child selected two symbols for their Native American name. As their leader, Mrs. Happy Blossom was very proud to go on such an exciting journey.

Wild About Books!

What a great way to end our week. The Rock Stars were inspired by the book, Wild About Books and created these amazing costumes. We had a blast marching in the literacy parade.

Listen to Our Hearts

Inspired by My Map Book, The Rock Stars drew a map of their heart and shared a small moment about the person or thing close to their heart. We will use these throughout the year to extend into our Writer's Workshop.
